Taekwondo update

I have an update on my quest for my black belt in Taekwondo.  I made it to green belt with blue tab this weekend (5th gup).  In case you don’t know, the belt ranks go like this:

RANK ORDER OF BELT
9TH GUP WHITE / YELLOW STRIPE
8TH GUP YELLOW
7TH GUP YELLOW / GREEN STRIPE
6TH GUP GREEN
5TH GUP GREEN/BLUE STRIPE
4TH GUP BLUE
3RD GUP BLUE/RED STRIPE
2ND GUP RED
1ST GUP RED/BLACK STRIPE
1ST DEGREE (Dan) BLACK

I had to do a jumping high front  snap kick for my board break.  Video coming soon!

My son Grayson (6 years old) is also now a 5th gup, but he didn’t get his board break.  That is a tough break for a 6 year old, but he is not quitting.  I am proud of that boy!

    My son Alex is 8 years old and a 1st Degree Black Belt in Songahm Tae Kwon Do. He achieved in two years with my help as we did form and sparred together. You can see pics of him at my myspace page
