My birthplace McComb, MS

I was born and raised in McComb, MS (yea, I know… being born in Mississippi explains a lot ).  It is a small town in southern Mississippi, and it is fairly unassuming in all respects.  However, it is actually fairly budding with history in respect to the entertainment industry. 

Here are a few things I personally knew about:

Bo Diddley was born in McComb, MS.

• Britney Spears went to school in McComb, MS (Parklane Academy).  I’ve seen some reports that she was born there as well, but I am pretty sure she was born in Kentwood, Louisiana
• Lynyrd Skynyrd’s plane crash happened in McComb, MS
• Brandy Norwood (a.k.a. Brandy), the entertainer, was born in McComb, MS

Then I found this Wikipedia article about McComb.  There is a list of famous people from there.  WOW!!  A lot of famous people came from that small town.  Maybe I should edit the article and put myself on the list :)
