Trip to the Houston Museum of Natural Science

Posted by Mikey on March 28th, 2007 filed in Uncategorized

I took a day off yesterday to take a trip with our hiome school group to theHouston Museum of Natural Science (HMNS).  I have lived in Houston for about 15 years now, so I have taken a couple of trips to the museums here.  But I honestly have never looked all around HMNS like we did yesterday.  That place is awesome.  I was REALLY psyched about the Rome exhibit they have there now.  They had some excellent artifacts there.

The butterfly exhibit is also pretty sweet, even though my two-year-old princess didn’t want the butterflies to land on her.

I also got a picture of my four-year-old boy (Nathanael) showing his bad attitude because he didn’t want to leave.  Yea, we had a great time.

Here are some pictures:

Yes, this museum is excellent! I have yet to visit the frogs or roman exhibits, though - hopefully I’ll go in the next week or so. P.S. Most of the museums are free on Thursdays (with the exception of special exhibits, I think, which are usually half off).
