A "I wonder what would happen" moment

My father-in-law and I recently made a trip to Target, and as we walked out, I noticed that the return desk was directly across from the checkout and on the way out of the store.  So my brain started working like it does (notice the title of my blog), and I suddenly asked him, “I wonder what they would do if we bought something and then immediately returned it?”

His commment was, “only you would think of something like that.”  Oh well.
