Obviously the person who has to review all of those applications does not have time for thinking about security. Let’s see, it probably takes five minutes to read over each one and then another five to determine whether or not to call them in for another interview.
Wait…..this is the friggin’ Gap we are talking about here…..okay, five minutes to read, decide, and set up the appointment. 5 x 800,000 = 4,000,000 minutes / 60 = 66,666.667 hours / 24 = 2,777.78 days / 365 = 7.6 Years of straight work. When you think that the work week only accounts for about 25 percent of the time in a year, it means that it would take that person 30.4 work years to get through the data.
Why does anybody need 30.4 work years of high school and college student information? Records retention? Even if they kept it for marketing purposes (is that legal?) you would think that they had transfered the information to a central database for easier cross reference.
I agree with you only I prefer….ugh.
