Michael: the bill has passed the House and now needs to pass the Senate. Here is a link to the progress of this bill (HB 2061):
http://www.legis.state.tx.us/BillLookup/History.aspx?LegSess=80R&Bill=HB2061

I spent time yesterday shooting off emails to both my representation in the senate (urging them not to pass it and kill it on the spot) as well as those in the House that voted for it (letting them know they are morons - I mean really!). I have also put in emails to some of the local radio talk shows. I am sure someone will pick it up - they just have to!

You can find your Senator here: http://www.senate.state.tx.us/75r/Senate/Members.htm#FYI

Everyone in Texas needs to call their senator! It only takes a few minutes!
